Peace is a difficult concept to express in an image. One defintion of peace is living in harmony with the world.
In this exhibit I chose to show two photographs that I took in Madagascar of Baobab trees. Trees share and give back to the environment in a symbiotic way, and never destroy, cause pain or make war. The way that trees exist in in peace with each other and their surroundings is something that we humans can learn a lot from.

Making images with a pinhole camera requires a different kind of thinking. The end result is often a surprise, and the process of taking pinhole photos requires much more patience than a snapshot. These photos were shown both in Kyoto and at a PPAS exhibit in Mombetsu, Hokkaido.

This photo exhibit was organized by the Kyoto Photography Club (京都写真クラブ).

I chose to exhibit some photos from my "Light In Darkness" series. These photos were made by moving a LED light (in the case a bicycle light) in front of the camera, while taking a long exposure. I enjoyed experimenting with this process, and tried things such as tracing the shapes of objects, and making unusual movements with the light. I took these photos in both Kyoto, Japan and Banglore, India.

For this show I also created miniature versions of my photos and mounted them on magnets. Visitors could purchase these magnets for 200 yen from a vending machine that I installed in the gallery. My friend and fellow photographer, John Ashburne, also sold his photographs in the vending machine.

This photo exhibit was organized by the Kansai International Photographers' Association, and was my second time showing my photos at gallery Prinz in Kyoto, Japan.

I tried to express the concept of "Slow" in my photographs, and somehow visualize time standing still. These photos were all taken in Kyoto, Japan, except for the image of the sleeping Shar-Pei dog, which was taken in Bangkok, Thailand.
